In some ways Comedian Harmonists
might be called the first German boy group. Inspired by American
'The Revelers' Harry Frommermann published an ad in a local
newspaper, auditioned and finally founded the famous ensemble.

at an early age. He is an enormously successful composer of

Known for their minimalist synthesiser
soundscapes, Kraftwerk were among the first to explore the limits
of electronic sounds.

for his distinctive voice and subtle lyrics. Grönemeyer
is one of the most successful German rock stars, both financially
